Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Legal Assistant. As a Legal Assistant, you will provide essential support to our legal team, assisting with various tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our legal department.
We are a personal injury law firm located in White Plains, New York. Our team has extensive experience in handling a wide variety of personal injury cases including construction accidents, motor vehicle accidents, slip and fall accidents, and hospital negligence cases.
Duties:
- Assist with drafting legal documents, such as pleadings and responses to discovery demands for Plaintiff's personal injury firm.
- Manage and organize legal files and documents.
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate records of client information.
- Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and meetings.
- Coordinate and schedule appointments, meetings, and court appearances.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Answer phone calls and handle inquiries with professionalism and excellent phone etiquette.
-Familiar with New York Labor Law 240(1) and 241(6).
-Fluent in Spanish required.
